If you have a valid Kansas driver's license or nondriver's identification card you may register to vote online using the Kansas Online Voter Registration website. The online registration option uses your driver's license signature to do so.
If you do not have either of these Kansas identification cards, you will need to complete a Kansas Voter Registration Application (PDF format) or a Federal Voter Registration Application (PDF format).
You must reregister each time you change your name, addres, or party affiliation for voting, otherwise the Election Office will have outdated information. There are three ways to submit your application:
Although the County Clerks's Office is the best place to obtain voter registration materials and forms, registration forms are also available at other Voter Registration Sites.
Kansas law does require new registrants to provide proof of citizenship when they register to vote. We recommend you still send a copy of your proof of citizenship document directly to our office to assure successful submission. For a complete list of acceptable documentation, please visit our Proof of Citizenship Requirement for Voter Registration page.
To change your party affiliation, print out the Party Affiliation Declaration form. The deadline to change your party affiliation is June 1st and is closed until Septmeber 1st after the State Board of Canvassers meet.
