The following three properties will come before the Kansas Historic Sites Board of Review on November 7, 2020. SHPO has asked the HCC to comment on the nominations.

April 9, 2020 Natural & Cultural Grant Program - Application Review #2

The Douglas County Heritage Conservation Council will meet on Thursday, April 9, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. for a Natural & Cultural Grant Evaluation Session. We invite you to join the meeting live using Zoom, a web-based communications tool. The meeting will be audio only.

The session will focus on responses to the grant reviewers questions that the HCC members have related to your grant application. The HCC will meet again on April 16, 2020 via Zoom to begin the process of selecting projects and determining funds available for projects.  -Jan Shupert-Arick, HCC Program Coordinator

APRIL 2, 2020 Natural & Cultural Grant Program - Application Review
The Douglas County Heritage Conservation Council will meet on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at 6:00 p.m. for a Natural & Cultural Grant Evaluation Session. We invite you to join the meeting live using Zoom, a web-based communications tool. The meeting will be audio only.

The session will focus on questions that the HCC members have related to your grant application. Following the meeting, you will be contacted via email, questions will be provided and you will be given several days to answer the questions. The HCC will meet again on April 9th. MEETING CANCELLATIONS March 21, 2020 - The Barn Assessment Grant Program meeting scheduled for Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 9 a.m. at the Douglas County Fairgrounds/Flory Building is cancelled. If you are interested in this grant program, contact Jan Shupert-Arick, HCC Program Coordinator, at jshupertarick@douglascountyks.org. Grant applications are provided upon request and are due back by April 10,2020. The Heritage Conservation Council (HCC) The HCC generally meets the first Thursday of the month. Review for Holy Family Catholic Church – 911 E Ninth St, Eudora – the nomination is within the Douglas County CLG jurisdiction and scheduled for the May 2, 2020, Historic Sites Board of Review agenda. HCC comments are due to SHPO by May 1 or may be presented at the meeting on May 2. (HCC _ please consider a letter of recommendation.)
