Public meeting about historic building survey in Marion township on Wed, Sept. 25, 2019 - 6:30 PM

The public is invited to an open meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, at the Marion Springs School Building, 316 E. 900 Road, to learn about the historic building survey process and to meet Susan Ford and Stan and Joni Hernly, the consultants who will be conducting the survey.

The survey will begin this fall and is scheduled to be completed by January 2020.

The survey area includes properties south of Lone Star Lake (N 600 Road) to the Douglas County-Franklin-County Line and a western strip of Willow Spring Township including the west side of E 900 Road from N 600 to the Douglas County-Franklin county line. This project is part of the survey plan supervised by the Douglas County Heritage Conservation Council, an advisory group appointed by the Douglas County Commission. The project is a continuation of a countywide historic building survey plan that was initiated in 2011.
