Local Artist Series
We love local art! Douglas County is always looking for talented artists to participate and showcase their work through the Local Artist Series. Interested artists should bring one sample of their work to the Treasurer's office, located on the main floor of the courthouse. The office is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

What is the Local Artist Series?
The Local Artists Series is a dynamic display of artwork created by local artists. This series provides elevated exposure for the featured local artists, and the opportunity for the public to view and possibly purchase these unique masterpieces (contact Artist for information).
Where is the art located?
Art pieces from the Local Artist Series are displayed on the 1st Floor Treasurer’s Office and the 2nd Floor (outside County Commission Chambers) of the historic County Courthouse at 1100 Massachusetts, Lawrence, Kansas, 66044
When can I see the exhibits?
The Local Artist Series can be viewed during normal business hours for the County Courthouse: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except holidays.
