Get in line at the Douglas County Treasurer Motor Vehicle

Getting in line at Motor Vehicle online through our websiteNote: If the estimated wait time exceeds our hours of operation, you will not be able to check-in until the following day.

Our locations:

  • Downtown - 1100 Massachusetts Street, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday
  • South - 2000 West 31st Street, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday
  • West - Temporarily Closed

Choose a get-in-line option so you can Wait Where You Want!

In addition to getting in line on-site at a Douglas County office location, you can also check-in: through 1. Website, 2. Text, 3. QLess App.

You will receive periodic status updates, including one about 15 minutes before you reach the front of the line. Please allow enough travel time to be at the office when you reach the front of the line. Once signed in please wait in your vehicle until called to a window. Practice safe social distancing when inside. 

  1. To check-in online: Qless.douglascountyks.org
    • Choose a Motor Vehicle location
    • Read through the Information Disclaimer and accept or decline
    • The wait time will be displayed by location
    • Enter your cell phone number, be sure to include the area code, then push Next
    • You'll receive a "Thanks" text with the estimated wait time and some basic text commands
    • When you arrive at your location, watch the monitors for the last 4 digits of your phone number and wait to be summoned to a cashier window
  2. To check-in by Text:
    • Text 1-844-4-DGCO-KS (1-844-434-2657)
    • You'll receive a "Welcome to QLess" response
    • Enter the name of the location whose line you're trying to join
      • dgco downtown
      • dgco south
    • You'll receive a "Thanks" text with the estimated wait time and some basic text commands
    • When you arrive at your location, simply watch the monitors for the last 4 digits of your phone number and wait to be summoned to a cashier window
  3. Download the QLess App:
  4. To check-in On-Site at a Douglas County office location:
    • A Kiosk will be available to let you join the line (Look for the ”Check In Here” sign)
    • Enter your phone number or select paper ticket
    • If you selected paper ticket you will receive a printed number
    • If you entered your phone number you'll receive a "Thanks" text with the estimated wait time and some basic text commands. You will continue to receive periodic updates as you progress through the line, allowing you to stay in line or go off and wait where you want
    • Watch for the last four of your number or paper ticket number to be displayed on the monitors at your location
    • When you reach the front of the line you will be summoned to a cashier window
