Public Works Director Chad Voigt, P.E.

Chad Voigt joined the Public Works Department in December 2014. Prior to that, Chad managed the floodplain and dam safety programs for the Kansas Department of Agriculture. He also previously served as the City of Lawrence Stormwater Engineer, and has held positions with several engineering consulting firms in Kansas, Missouri and Minnesota.  Chad’s background is in civil and structural engineering, floodplain management, road and bridge improvements and public works management. Chad was named Public Works Director in June 2020.

Chad received his civil engineering degree from the University of Kansas, and is a licensed professional engineer in Kansas.
