Queens Road bridge reopens to traffic; N1750 bridge to close for repairs

Saturday, June 1, 2019 - 12:23pm

The Queens Road (E1000 Road) bridge, just south of N1750 Road is now open to unrestricted traffic. The bridge has been closed since March 25 for concrete deck repairs.

Beginning Monday, June 3, the bridge carrying N1750 Road over Baldwin Creek will be closed for concrete deck repairs. Public Works anticipates the bridge will be closed through the end of July.  The bridge is located approximately 0.8 miles east of E1000 Road. The project includes removing and patching areas of deteriorated concrete in the bridge deck, and overlaying the bridge deck with concrete. The project will extend the life of this 43-year-old bridge.

The Board of County Commissioners awarded a contract in the low bid amount of $166,930 to Comanche Construction for the project, which includes deck repairs for both bridges.
