Lone Star Lake Park is located approximately 10 miles southwest of the City of Lawrence. The lake was built in the early 1930's by the Civilian Lone Star Lake Park Conservation Corps (CCC). Facilities include:
- Campsites - some with electric hookup
- Restrooms with showers - at campground
- Camp Host - on site
- Playground - includes volleyball net
- Swimming beach - no lifeguard on duty
- Fishing - state permit required
- Boating - ramps available
- Water skiing - only on dates specified in regulations
- Shelter areas - for picnics and group gatherings
- Community Building - rent for gatherings
Campsites are available on a "first come first serve" basis. No advance reservations may be made. Please contact the Camp Host upon arrival.
