Electronics Recycling (E-Waste)

Since 2008, the City of Lawrence and Douglas County have hosted periodic electronics recycling events, inviting customers to drop off their recyclable electronics free of charge.

The most recent event was held on May 13, 2023 and is the only event planned for this year. In addition to these recycling events, those looking to recycle electronics should utilize the recyclable materials directory to find additional drop-off sites and other recycling options throughout the year. The annual recycling events are the only government-sponsored electronics disposal option able to be offered at this time.
