Youth Services
The Youth Services Department handles juvenile clients who have been charged with crimes or were given a court ordered supervision.
Juvenile Community Corrections
The Kansas Department of Corrections contracts with Douglas County to provide Juvenile Community Corrections services for youth who have been assigned to Community Corrections by the court in the Seventh Judicial District.

Juvenile Detention
Douglas County hosts a regional juvenile detention center for youth who are awaiting court action or who have court-imposed sanctions.
Community Service Work
The community benefits from the skills provided by the community service workers while the participant is awarded the opportunity to pay back the community through restorative justice.
Day School
Detention Day School is a collaborative program between USD497 and Douglas County. It allows juveniles to remain in the community while still receiving the additional support they need.
Truancy
The Douglas County truancy program works with truant or pre-truant students who are between grades Kindergarten and 8th grade.
